Out of Order is Ray Cooney’s award‑winning farce about Richard Willey, a Government Junior Minister planning a secret evening with Jane Worthington, an Opposition secretary. Their plans collapse when they discover a mysterious ‘body’ stuck in the hotel’s faulty sash window. Richard drags his loyal PPS, George Pigden, into the chaos, and George becomes entangled in a web of lies that sends him spiralling into confusion. As Jane’s jealous husband, an opportunistic waiter, Richard’s wife Pamela, and Nurse Gladys Foster arrive, the situation escalates wildly.
