Richard Branson – not the famous tycoon, but a redundant foundry worker whose wife has left him – is desperate to rebuild his confidence and sense of purpose. Hoping for a fresh start, he enrols on a history course at Birmingham University, where he meets Noel, another mature student with a very different outlook on life.
